Terms of service
We supply document services only: certified translations, apostille filing and consular legalisation assistance. We are a private business, not a public authority and not a government agent. We do not issue apostilles, certificates or any official document; those are issued solely by the competent authority of the country concerned.
Each service is ordered and priced individually. There is no account activation fee, no subscription, no bundle and no instalment plan. Before any payment we issue a fixed written quote for the specific document you have sent, itemising our service fee and any official government fee separately. Payment falls due per completed document — on delivery, or against a per-item quote you accepted in advance. Prices are shown in euro; your card issuer may apply its own conversion rate.
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legality of the documents you send us, and for confirming that the deliverable you order is the one the receiving authority requires. Turnaround times begin when we have received the required document in acceptable form and, where the service requires it, the physical original. Times quoted for apostille and legalisation depend on the authority concerned and are estimates, not guarantees.
We may decline or stop an order where the document appears fraudulent, altered or unlawful, where the request is outside our services, or where a required original never arrives. In those cases we refund any amount you have paid for work not performed.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the fees you paid us for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including any decision, delay, refusal or cost imposed by an authority, employer or third party. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under EU consumer law or the mandatory consumer law of your EU member state.
We do not provide immigration advice, job placement or work permits. We do not guarantee any visa or permit outcome.
Refund and cancellation policy
Cancelling before work starts. You can cancel any order at any time before we begin work by emailing documents@geteuwork.com with your order reference. You receive a full refund of everything you paid, with no cancellation fee.
Cancelling after work starts. If work has begun but the deliverable has not been completed, we refund the unused part of the service fee, calculated pro rata against the work actually performed and itemised in writing.
Official government fees. Fees already paid to a competent authority, ministry, chamber or embassy on your behalf are not refundable, because those authorities do not return them. We refund any government fee we collected but had not yet paid out.
Defective or incorrect deliverables. If a deliverable contains an error we made, we correct it at no cost. If correction is not possible or you no longer need it, we refund that item in full.
Outcomes are not refundable events. We are paid for producing and filing documents. A refusal, delay or unfavourable decision by an authority, employer or third party is not a defect in our service and does not by itself create a refund entitlement.
How refunds are made. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 days of approval, in the currency originally charged. We do not issue cash refunds or refunds to a different card or account. Payments appear on your statement as PERMITDIRECT DOCS.
Before you dispute a charge. Please email documents@geteuwork.com with your order reference first. We acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and resolve them within 10 business days.
Consumer guarantees and withdrawal rights
Under EU consumer law, including Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights and Directive (EU) 2019/771 and 2019/770, services are supplied with due care and skill and conform to what was agreed with you. These rights cannot be excluded by contract.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason by emailing documents@geteuwork.com with your order reference before the deadline. Where you ask us to begin a service before the 14 days expire and acknowledge this when accepting the quote, you may still withdraw but you owe a proportionate amount for the work already performed. Once a service has been fully performed with your prior express consent, the withdrawal right ends for that item.
Privacy policy
Data controller and privacy contact: PermitDirect Document Services, documents@geteuwork.com. We handle personal information in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and the ePrivacy Directive.
What we collect. Your name and contact details, order and payment records, and the contents of the documents you upload for the service you ordered. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our systems.
Why. To deliver the service you ordered (performance of a contract), to issue receipts and tax invoices and meet accounting obligations (legal obligation), and to send you order-related email such as status updates and receipts.
Who we share it with. Only the sworn or court-appointed translator assigned to your file, the competent authority handling your filing, the courier delivering your documents, our payment processor, and our email and hosting providers. We never sell personal information and never share it for advertising. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it. Documents are stored in access-controlled storage and deleted 12 months after delivery, unless a longer statutory retention period applies to our financial records.
Your rights. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, or complain to us at documents@geteuwork.com. If you are not satisfied you may lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority of your EU member state.
We never ask for a passport or identity document until you have ordered a specific service that requires it.
Disclaimers
We do not provide immigration advice, job placement or work permits. We do not guarantee any visa or permit outcome.
We are not a law firm, not a registered migration agent, and not licensed to give immigration or legal advice. Nothing on this site, in our emails or in any quote is legal, migration or visa advice, and it must not be relied on as such. If you need advice about a visa, work permit or immigration matter, consult a qualified legal practitioner or a registered migration agent in the relevant country.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any government, ministry, embassy, consulate or public authority. Government fees, processing times and acceptance criteria are set by those authorities and can change without notice.
Information on this website about apostille, legalisation and document requirements is general in nature and provided for orientation only. It may not reflect the specific requirements of the authority handling your matter.
Visitor visa document packs — scope of service
A visitor visa document pack is a document preparation service. We collate, translate, certify where required, format and completeness-check the supporting documents you supply, and return an indexed file to you.
We do not assess your eligibility for any visa, do not recommend a visa route, do not complete or submit any application form, do not attend appointments, and do not communicate with any embassy, consulate, visa application centre or immigration authority on your behalf. You lodge your own application, or engage a licensed immigration adviser of your own choosing to do so. Any licensed partner we may refer you to is engaged directly by you under their own terms, and we receive no part of their fee.
Government visa fees, biometric enrolment fees and visa application centre charges are paid by you directly to the relevant authority or centre. We never collect them and they are not included in the pack price.
Document checklists shown on this website are general guidance based on the destination's published information at the time of writing. Requirements are set and changed by the destination authority without notice, and the list that applies to you is the one that authority publishes.
The pack price is charged for the preparation work. It is not contingent on, and gives no entitlement to, any visa decision. A refusal, delay, or change of requirements by the destination authority is not a defect in our service and does not give rise to a refund of completed preparation work, without limiting your rights under EU consumer law or the mandatory consumer law of your EU member state.
Identity and financial documents for a pack are requested only after you have ordered that specific pack for a specific destination. They are held in encrypted private storage, used solely to prepare your pack, and deleted on request once your order is complete.
